Who We Are
Cox Pools started in 1958, back when a Panhandle family decided a swimming pool ought to be engineered as carefully as the house it sits behind. Six decades later the coastline from Panama City Beach through the 30A corridor is full of our work — and a fair number of the builders now competing with us learned the trade in our yard.
We have never been interested in being the oldest name on the list. We were early to most of what this market now treats as standard, and we still keep the trades that decide whether a pool lasts — plaster, paver decking, and service — inside the company, where we can actually stand behind them.

The interior finish is where a pool quietly succeeds or fails. Ours is applied by a sister company, which means the crew answers to us and the warranty stops with us.
One schedule and one standard from excavation to the last paver, instead of waiting on a subcontractor who answers to three other builders.

Start at our Panama City Beach showroom, where two full pools sit on site. Walk the tile, touch the finishes, see the water move. Most people decide more in an hour here than in a month of scrolling.
A plan drawn to your actual lot — grades, setbacks, sightlines, and how the sun crosses the yard — paired with a line-item proposal. You see both before anything is signed.
Bay, Walton, Okaloosa, or anywhere else we build — we handle the structural engineering, the permit package, and the HOA or architectural review submittals.
Excavation, steel, plumbing, gunite, tile, deck, plaster, startup. Cox crews on the trades that matter most, and a schedule you can actually see.
Balanced water, an equipment walkthrough, and a warranty department that stays a single phone call away for as long as you own the pool.

Financing
Most of our clients — whether they're building new or renovating an existing pool — finance some part of the project. We work with third-party lending partners who understand pool construction, including draw schedules that release funds as the work progresses, not all at once up front.
Ask About Financing
Resurfacing, retiling, paver decking, and equipment upgrades can be financed the same way a new pool can.
Prequalification is a short application. You will know your budget before you finalize a design, which makes the design conversation far more productive.
Your designer walks you through terms alongside the line-item proposal, so you are comparing the same numbers the lender is.

It depends on size, depth, interior finish, paver decking, and features — which is why we give you a line-item proposal after the design consultation instead of a number over the phone. What we will do is tell you honestly and early if your budget and your wish list do not line up yet, so you are not designing something you cannot build.
From signed contract to swimming, most residential projects run a few months. Permitting and weather are the two biggest variables, and neither is fully in anyone's control. You get a construction schedule at the start and updates as it moves.

Outdoor kitchens, pergolas, and fire features come through Little Pool House Designs, our family's outdoor living studio. Landscaping, turf, and specialty hardscape are coordinated with local partners we have worked with for years.
We would rather be clear about who does what than let you assume it is all one crew and find out otherwise mid-project.

That is exactly what our Panama City Beach showroom is for. Two complete pools sit on site, so you can see tile, coping, plaster, and water in daylight rather than guessing from a two-inch sample chip. Most clients tell us the showroom visit is where the design finally clicks.
